摘要：

The development and description of an automatic tool for collecting data relating to design metrics is presented. The tool is a result of the lack of available automated data collection aids discovered by research sponsored by the ESPRIT Project 1257 MUSE. A description is provided of the form and syntax of two languages developed to provide relatively simple descriptions of program data structures and module interfaces. In addition a selection of metrics for which data can be collected is provided. © 1989.
