摘要
We present results of field propagation in taper and X-junction obtained with the aid of a new propagation technique. This technique uses the spectral domain of the guided and radiation modes and allows a new modal interpretation of the propagation mechanisms. Additionally, we show that this technique can be considered as a rigorous ray optic approach.
