摘要
A novel, 27-membered macrolide, meridamycin, was isolated from a strain of Streptomyces hygroscopicus and found to inhibit the binding of FK-506 to FKBP12 and to antagonize the immunosuppressive activity of both FK-506 and rapamycin. The isolation, structure elucidation, and biological activity of this compound are described in this paper.
