摘要
A new IR diffuse reflectance spectrophotometer was constructed for in situ IR spectrometric determination of reacting species on catalyst surface at elevated temperatures without interference from the emission of samples. The IR spectra of powdered CaCO3 show the suitability of the instrument for the study of high temperature IR spectra. In situ measurement of a reacting species on a catalyst surface is illustrated with a reaction between adsorbed benzoate ion and ammonia on an alumina catalyst at 290 °C. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
