THEORY OF THE ENERGY-TRANSFER RATE IN SENSITIZED FLUORESCENCE IN MOLECULAR-CRYSTALS

摘要
Based on a Boltzmann-like equation in reciprocal space, a theory is developed to describe sensitized fluorescence in molecular crystals. Fluorescence (or phosphorescence) curves describing light emission from the host crystal as well from the guest traps are obtained in terms of parameters pertaining to the host exciton band. An expression for the energy transfer rate is derived and shown to be time dependent and to have the qualitative features of the experimental rate. © 1979.
