摘要
An analytical model of the dynamic cutting forces in orthogonal cutting is presented. The model is derived from the fact that the resulting cutting force varies in dynamic cutting. The dynamic cutting forces are expressed by the static cutting coefficients and dynamic cutting coefficients both of which can be determined from static cutting data. To verify the proposed model, the chatter stability analysis was conducted on a cutting system with two degrees of freedom. Good agreement was shown between the stability limits predicted by the theory and the critical widths of cut obtained from experiments.
