摘要
The concentration of silicon is high during the elongation phase (approximately day 1 through day 21 post-anthesis) of cotton fiber development. The ratio of the amount of silicon per mass of fiber peaks at the time when secondary wall initiation occurs. This suggests that silicon has one or more functions during a specific phase of cotton fiber development. © 1990, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
