摘要
1. The protease inhibitor leupeptin is known to delay degradation in mammalian muscles; it has been suggested that it may have therapeutic value in dystrophic conditions. 2. The action of the divalent cation ionophore A23187 in promoting skeletal muscle damage is confirmed. 3. However, preincubation of frog skeletal muscle with leupeptin for varying times and at various concentrations did not protect against A23187-induced ultrastructural damage. © 1979.
