摘要
New density and interfacial tension results are presented for the n -heptane-propanol-water system as the consolute point is approached at 20°C. The results are analyzed in terms of the scaling laws of critical theory. It is found that density difference scales with interfacial tension with a power of 3.8 ± 0.1, consistent with the approach to an ordinary critical point where theory predicts μ/β = 3.88. © 1993 Academic Press.
