ON THE USE OF A NONADDITIVE REFERENCE SYSTEM IN A REFERENCE HYPERNETTED-CHAIN CALCULATION OF THE STRUCTURE OF A BINARY-LIQUID

摘要
We have determined the static structure and the thermodynamics of a binary Lennard-Jones mixture via the generalized reference hypernetted chain formalism. The bridge functions of the reference system required in the closure relation are those of a suitably chosen non-additive hard-sphere system which were obtained by a numerical solution of the Percus-Yevick equations. Agreement with computer simulation results both for the structure and thermodynamics is satisfactory.
