摘要
A longitudinal contact-point model is proposed for the evaluation of stress-intensity factors at the tips of wear cracks. The concept and the significance of the model are discussed, and the finite element method analysis is described. The model can lead to the determination of stress-intensity factors which have a sufficient order of magnitude for crack growth under reasonable loading conditions.
