HOPPING CONDUCTION IN Li(x)Ni(1-x)O CRYSTALS AT LOW TEMPERATURES

摘要
The resistivity of single crystals, and single domains, of NiO containing 0.2 to 3.2 per cent of Li has been measured at temperatures down to 20 degrees K. The results are interpreted in terms of hopping conduction through the acceptor levels in parallel with conduction in the 3d levels. The isotropy of conductivity within a single domain suggests that 3d transport occurs in the d gamma orbitals, indirectly through the anions.
