摘要：

Claerbout's equations admit a closed-form solution for the velocity variations in terms of observations at the upper surface. Synthetic examples provide analytical and numerical checks on the result. For example, with a titled plane, the result exhibits relative error in slope and velocity variation of the order of theta **4 in the tilt angle theta .
