摘要
The sources of error in direct reaction neutron time-of-flight measurements using a cyclotron beam are investigated and the dispersion matching conditions necessary for obtaining an energy resolution better than the beam resolution are given. An isochronous storage ring for reducing the beam repetition rate without loss of beam current is suggested for the long flight path measurements that are necessary to obtain ΔE/E≲0.1%. © 1979.
