ELECTRIC-FIELD GRADIENT AT CADMIUM IMPURITIES IN YTTRIUM METAL

摘要
The temperature dependence of the electric field gradient (EFG) at111Cd impurities in yttrium metal has been investigated between 77 K and 500 K by time differential perturbed angular correlation measurements. The EFG decreases with increasing temperature. This decrease can be fully explained by the lattice expansion. The value of the EFG at 293 K {Mathematical expression} is consistent with the correlation between ionic and electronic EFG proposed by Raghavan et al. © 1979 North-Holland Publishing Company.
