NEW AUTO-IONIZED SERIES IN ATOMIC ANTIMONY

摘要
The absorption spectrum of atomic antimony has been observed in the region 2300-1200 Å using the flash pyrolysis technique. A new autoionized series of lines has been observed in the region 1600-1300 Å. These lines have been identified as the transitions 5s25p3 2P0 3 2-5s25p2(1S0)nd2D 5 2, n = 5 → 19. The ionization limits of Sb I have been reduced by 62 cm-1, giving the first limit 69638 cm-1 (8.632 eV). Two other autoionized lines are also reported. Thirteen additional lines have been identified as transitions within the existing energy level scheme. © 1979.
