摘要
Research has been carried out in a number of laboratories to try to establish the cellular basis of learning processes. Various animal models have been used to perform experiments on motor learning systems; however, many of these 'higher' animals operate through very complicated systems. In this article Graham Hoyle puts forward the case for using the locust as a simple model for the study of the cellular mechanisms underlying motor learning, and describes some of the work which has been done in this direction to date. © 1979.
