摘要：

The variables that determine the Cerenkov counting response of small liquid systems are presented. A control of these variables will permit the optimization of Cerenkov measurements with any conventional liquid scintillation counter. The design of a counter specifically for Cerenkov emission is also suggested. A new calculation of the photon yield of electrons passing through water indicates the requirements of the electronic counting system. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
