APPLICATION OF ANODIC-STRIPPING VOLTAMMETRY TO DETERMINATION OF SOME TRACE ELEMENTS IN SEA WATER

摘要
The application of anodic-stripping voltammetry, with a hanging mercury drop electrode and a fast-sweep polarograph, to the determination of several trace elements in raw sea water is discussed. Advantages and disadvantages of the technique and the main sources of error are described. A comparison is made of analytical data for the trace elements zinc, cadmium, lead, and copper by the anodic-stripping technique and by the single-sweep polarographic technique. Precise measurements of concentrations of 10-8-10-9 M can be made, if variables are carefully controlled. © 1969.
