摘要
A sensitive torque magnetometer suitable for operating in the limited space available in a longitudinal superconducting magnet is described. Torque is measured absolutely in terms of the design constants and the magnetic field, and rotation of the sample relative to the field is easily accomplished. The magnetometer has been used to make accurate measurements of the amplitude of de Haas-van Alphen oscillations in silver for flux densities up to 110 kG.
