摘要
This study examines relationship between authoritarianism, conservatism, dogmatism, intolerance of ambiguity and probabilistic thinking. By probabilistic thinking we mean tendency to adopt a probabilistic set, discrimination of uncertainty, and ability to express that uncertainty meaningfully either verbally or as a numerical probability. From orthodox conceptualizations of personality/cognitive measures one would anticipate strong relationships between these measures and our own various measures of probabilistic thinking. present study makes it clear that such relationships may not be present. 1979 The British Psychological Society
