摘要
An overview of tomographic approach to remote sensing of ionosphere by radio waves is presented. Various methods, including diffraction, statistical, and ray radiotomography are discussed. The experimental procedures of satellite radiotomography are described. Results from satellite experiments in 1984-1993 are shown demonstrating the great possibilities of the radiotomographic method in ionospheric research. (C) 1994 John Wiley and Sons, Inc.
