NUCLEAR ACOUSTIC RESONANCE IN ALUMINUM VIA COUPLING TO MAGNETIC DIPOLE MOMENT

摘要
We have observed a new interaction mechanism between a sound wave and the nuclear spin system in a single crystal of aluminum. The coupling is via the oscillating magnetic field induced by the sound wave in the presence of a large applied magnetic field and the magnetic moment of the nucleus. The experimental results agree with the theoretical predictions based on this mechanism. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
