摘要
Females of Lucilia cuprina oviposit in groups, the formation of which depends, in part, on the responses of females to stimulation from other flies. This stimulation, which is almost certainly chemical in nature, is important in causing females to oviposit and in influencing them to lay near already ovipositing females. Both types of action have a strong contact component; in addition, there is a weaker olfactory component which plays some part in the aggregative response. © 1969.
