TRI-TERT-BUTYLSILYLAMINES - SYNTHESIS, PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES AND NEW SILYLAMINE DERIVATIVES

摘要
Tri-t-butylsilylamine has been synthesized in excellent yield from the hydrogenation of tri-t-butylsilylazide. The pKb values of the amine and its mono- and dimethyl derivatives have been quantitatively measured in 40% H2O/60% THF solution. Stable silylammonium salts, [(CH3)3C]3SiN+H3X- (X = Cl, Br, BF4) have been isolated and characterized. In addition, boron trihalide adducts of the amine, [(CH3)3C]3SiNH2 → BX3 (X = F, Cl), have been isolated and studied. © 1979.
