NUCLEAR RESONANT SCATTERING OF GAMMA RAYS IN NI, CD, SN AND BI

摘要
The nuclear resonant scattering of monochromatic γ-rays has been studied by means of a 30 cm3 Ge(Li) detector. The γ-source was provided by the (n, γ) reaction in iron and copper. Natural Ni, Cd, Sn and Bi targets have been used as scatterers. Several deexcitation γ-rays from the resonant levels in Ni, Cd and Sn have been observed. In addition to the well known resonant levels, six new ones have been detected in 209Bi, Ni and Sn. Angular distribution measurements of the elastically and inelastically scattered photons have been performed. The spectrum of the low-energy γ-rays in coincidence with the inelastically scattered photons was measured by means of two NaI(Tl) counters. Consistent level schemes for 62Ni, 112Cd and 118Sn have been deduced. © 1969.
