HIGH STATISTICS STUDY OF THE NATURE OF PHASE-TRANSITIONS IN SCALAR, COMPACT QED

摘要
We analyze, using a method already implemented for the U(1) pure gauge theory, the nature of phase transitions in scalar, compact QED in lattices up to 12(4). In these lattices the critical exponents derived from finite size scaling analysis are consistent with a continuous Coulomb-Higgs transition, while the effect of the inclusion of matter fields on the confining-Coulomb transition is negligible.
