SATURATION OF OPTICAL SCINTILLATION BY STRONG TURBULENCE

摘要
A simple elaboration of the first-order perturbation theory of optical scintillation is given to describe the propagation of light over paths where the integrated amount of refractive-index turbulence is sufficient to cause saturation of the scintillations. The theory shows why the fine-scale structure of oscillations persists deep into the saturation regime.
