SOL-GEL PROCESSING OF INSULATING, ELECTROCONDUCTING AND SUPERCONDUCTING FIBERS

摘要
Sol-gel processing of various functional fibers prepared by drawing from the viscous solution has been reviewed. Occurrence of spinnability of the sol is discussed in terms of the shape of particles dispersed in the sol and the rheological behavior of the sol. Gel fibers drawn from viscous sols can be converted to glass or ceramic fibers by heating to high temperatures. Insulating, electroconducting and superconducting fibers thus prepared are described. © 1990.
