THE SPECTRA AND SENSITIZATION OF LASER SELF-FREQUENCY-DOUBLING NDXY1-XAL3(BO3)4 CRYSTAL

摘要
The authors report on the absorption and luminescence spectra of a laser nonlinear self-frequency-doubling NdxY1-xAl 3(BO3)4(NYAB) crystal at room temperature. Following the Judd-Ofelt theory, they have obtained the oscillator strength for seven bands and three intensity parameters Omega 2, Omega 4, Omega 6. The radiative lifetime tau of the metastable state 4F3/2 and a series of laser coefficients of 4F3/2 to 4Ij/2 transitions are also calculated. The primary results on the Cr-Nd sensitisation effect on Nd:Cr:YAB crystals are also reported.
