摘要
Two new arboviruses, for which the names Shark River and Pahayokee are proposed, have been isolated from the everglades of south Florida. The majority of the isolates have come from pools of Culex (Melanoconion) mosquitoes, but one isolate of Shark River virus was also made from a cotton rat (Sigmodon hispidus). The two new virus types are most closely related to Patois and Zegla viruses, reported from Panama. Serological tests failed to reveal significant relationship to either Groups C or Guama. © 1969 by The Johns Hopkins University.
