SYSTEMATICS OF RELATIONS FOLLOWING FROM QUARK MODEL .2. CONSTRAINTS ON DECAY DISTRIBUTIONS OF RESONANCES

Decay distributions of the resonances produced in quasi-two-body processes are discussed in the framework of the generalized quark model. Only results which can be obtained without comparing different reactions are considered. The quark model relations among density matrix elements are divided into three groups differing in their behaviour under changes of the spin reference frames. The relations contained in the first two groups are found to be consistent with the experimental data. The relations from the third group seem in disagreement with the data. A tentative interpretation of these results is given. © 1968.
