2ND-LINE EFFICACY OF INTERMEDIATE HIGH-DOSE METHOTREXATE WITH CITROVORUM FACTOR RESCUE + CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE IN OVARIAN-CANCER

In a randomized study, 55 patients with advanced-stage epithelial ovarian cancers with progressive disease after prior chemotherapy were treated with intermediate high-dose methotrexatecitrovorum factor rescue + Cyclophosphamide with and without pretreatment with vincristine. Vincristine did not enhance the efficacy of the methotrexate-citrovorum factor rescue + cyclophosphamide response rate. Objective responses of from 3 to 12 months were observed in 29.8% of the evaluable cases. The incidence of serious toxicity was acceptable in this group of patients who had had extensive prior therapy. © 1979.
