SHORT-WAVELENGTH DENSITY FLUCTUATIONS IN LIQUID-METALS

摘要
Using the static structure factor S(q) and the fourth moment of the dynamical structure factor S(q omega ), the author investigates under what conditions a classical liquid can support short-wavelength density waves. It is concluded that particularly the alkali metals lithium and potassium, like rubidium, should show sharp resonance in S(q omega ) for intermediate q values.
