摘要
Bubble growth in constant and time-dependent pressure fields has been formulated taking into account not only the effects of surface tension, inertia of the liquid, heat conduction in the liquid, but also the effects of nonequilibrium at the liquid-vapor interface, and the varying density of the vapor bubble. Whereas the Rayleigh and the asymptotic heat conduction solutions are well known, and the nonequilibrium parameter has been more recently introduced, no overall solution for the conditions stated has been available heretofore. Solutions are illustrated for specific examples of growing bubbles in water and in sodium for a constant pressure field, and for nitrogen in a decreasing pressure field. Comparisons of the solutions with experimental data available for water and nitrogen support the analytical approach utilized. © 1969.
