摘要
The effect of pressure on the elastic constants of Cu has been measured from -196 to +25°C and up to 2500 bar using the torsional-bar-resonance technique for the shear constants c44 and 1 2(c11 - c12) and the ultrasonic pulse-echo technique for the c11 constant. The pressure derivatives of all the elastic constants are found to decrease with temperature. The experimental results are compared with existing theories based on lattice anharmonicity. The agreement is good in the case of the temperature dependence of the elastic constants and fair to good in the case of the temperature dependence of the pressure derivatives of the elastic constants. © 1979.
