摘要
Metastable Ba (5d 1D) atoms have been prepared in a flow apparatus via laser pumping of the (6p 1P) level. The return of metastable atom density to its equilibrium value has been monitored with a cw laser beam in the presence of the gases N2, CO, H2, and D2 to yield the quenching rate constants of Ba (5d 1D) for these gases. © 1979 American Institute of Physics.
