摘要
Attalea crassispatha is an endangered Haitian palm of economic potential. Described in this report are current efforts in its conservation, including botanical and habitat descriptions, the distribution of the known population, utilization of the palm by Haitians, and a summary of in situ and ex situ conservation activities since 1989. Cultivation of this wild palm offers the potential of regenerating a valuable tree species and contributing to successful conservation efforts in Haiti.
