SOFT TISSUE SARCOMA IN CHILDREN

摘要：

Fourteen cases of soft tissue sarcoma in children are reviewed. Twelve had a favorable outcome; there were 2 deaths, 6 months and one year respectively, after surgery. Five children have been followed-up for more than 3 years, and 7 for more than 5 years. Treatment consisted in extensive local excision of the tumor regardless of the tissue defects thus produced. Additional radiotherapy and chemotherapy have only been used in recurrent cases and in children with metastases as well as in those situations where the excision was considered to be incomplete. © 1969.
