摘要
Barium ferrite Ba2Fe2O5 has been studied using various techniques. X-ray diffraction and TEM have shown the phase to crystallize with a monoclinic symmetry, the unit cell being a complex supercell of a cubic perovskite cell. The Mössbauer resonance spectrum exhibits five sextuplets which have been assigned to Fe3+ in Oh, Td, and fivefold coordinated sites. Obviously Ba2Fe2O5 does not adopt the brownmillerite structure of homologous calcium (or strontium) ferrite and the oxygen vacancy ordering is more complex. © 1990.
