摘要
Energy systems which significantly reduce emissions of acidifying gases and carbon dioxide from non-mobile sources are identified for Western Scania, using an end-use accounting model. Carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced to 75% and acidifying gases to 50% of 1988 levels by 2010 using an energy system based on efficient end-use technologies, cogeneration, and renewable sources, while satisfying constraints imposed by national policy, namely, phasing out nuclear power, not increasing hydropower and maintaining strong economic growth. The costs for the energy services, excluding taxes and environmental fees, are in the same range as for a system mainly based on fossil fuels.
