TRANSPORT AND MAGNETIC STUDIES OF THE KONDO ALLOYS CEPD3SIX

摘要
Neutron diffraction reveals that in CePd3Si0.3 the Si is incorporated into the Cu3Au structure at the octahedral interstitial site. Resistivity and susceptibility measurements on CePd3Six alloys show a crossover from a coherent Kondo lattice (x=0) to a single impurity Kondo regime (x=0.03) and eventually to a magnetic ground state at x=0.3. The magnetoresistance of CePd3Six shows dramatic changes as a function of Si concentration. An analysis is presented for magnetoresistance data of the CePd3Six alloy following Schlottman's theory, based on the Coqblin-Schrieffer model.
