摘要
The first very large array (VLA) synthesis maps of solar active regions are presented here. The observational capabilities, and the basic techniques of using the VLA to observe the Sun are also described. Comparisons of VLA maps with magnetograms are also made. © 1979 Nature Publishing Group.
