摘要
Comparisons between size distributions of cod from trawl and longline surveys in the same areas off West Greenland have been used to construct a set of size-dependent conversion equations. These equations relate the catch rates of the longlines to that of the trawl. Applying these equations to longline catches from non-trawlable inshore areas allows an estimation to be made of inshore abundance expressed in trawl swept-area units.
