摘要
In this paper, we analyze the delamination of two-layer plates loaded in compression. An initial defect of adhesion between the layers is assumed, and the propagation of the delamination produced by the buckling of the debonded area is studied. The brittle fracture mechanics approach is used to model the debonding phenomenon and the analytical solution is derived from it. The results are then compared with those obtained by means of a finite element approach, in which the layers' adhesion is modeled with unilateral springs. © 1990.
