摘要
The reliability of the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) technique in evaluating Armco iron corrosion rates in acid solutions inhibited by quaternary ammonium compounds is discussed. A mathematical elaboration of EIS data is used to obtain the parameters of the equivalent circuit related to the process of iron corrosion in the quoted media. A better fitting between experimental and simulated impedance spectra is obtained if distributed time constants are used.
