DIGITAL IMAGE-PROCESSING - SEMPER SYSTEM

This paper gives a detailed description of a fully portable system of programs for image processing, particularly suitable for applications in electron microscopy. The system handles the storage and display of a large number of pictures of any size, and executes simple instructions, given interactively or prepared in advance, covering a wide range of applications from simple contrast manipulation and subregion extraction through transformation, filtering, lattice averaging, and automatic pair alignment to three-dimensional reconstruction. It can be run on very small as well as very large computers, and may be extended indefinitely" as new procedures are developed. © 1979 North-Holland Publishing Company."
