COMPOSITION DEPENDENCE OF THE MAGNETORESISTANCE AND THE OSCILLATORY EXCHANGE INTERACTION IN FE-CO-NI/CU (FCC, 100) MULTILAYERS

摘要
The composition and temperature dependence of the magnetoresistance (MR) ratio and exchange coupling strength have been measured for antiferromagnetically coupled Fe-Co-Ni/Cu multilayers with coherent gamma-phase (fcc,100) structures. The MR ratio shows a maximum for Co/Cu systems, and the coupling strength is maximal for Co90Fe10/Cu systems. The compositional variation of the coupling parameter cannot be explained from the RKKY model.
