TRANSLATIONAL CONTROL OF PROKARYOTIC GENE-EXPRESSION

Awareness of the importance of post-transcriptional control of gene expression in prokaryotes has grown enormously over the past ten years. In particular, translation features as a step where both control over constitutive rates of gene expression, as well as cis and trans regulation are exercised. Recent research has provided us with new insights into the molecular basis of these phenomena. © 1990.
