SOLID-STATE PHOTOCHEMISTRY OF (C8H12)PT(N3)2 AS THIN-FILMS ON SI(111) SURFACES

摘要
The solid state photochemistry of (COD)Pt(N3)2 (COD, 1,5-cyclooctadiene) has been investigated. Photolysis of a thin film of (COD)Pt(N3)2 initially leads to loss of a single azide radical and the formation of (COD)Pt(N3). Further photolysis leads to loss of the remaining ligands. The final films were identified as platinum films 115 nm thick and showed good adherence to the SiO2 substrate.
